Founded in 2013, we took our name from Abigail Adams (1744-1818), wife of President John Adams. Her famous appeal to “Remember the Ladies”—a call for greater fairness and opportunity for women—remains as powerful today as it was then. Given the direct connection to our core values, we chose to honor her legacy by adopting her first name.

The Abigails unites women across generations in a welcoming community committed to justice, equal rights and opportunity, and fair treatment for all. We nurture friendships and inspire meaningful action through social, educational, volunteer, and advocacy activities that strengthen our broader community.
